Good for Classroom Management
We use this at Assumption and can supervise student using computer
When you install it you see what's going on in computer-labs by using overview mode and remote-control computers, lock workstations for moving undivided attention to teacher send text-messages to students, powering on/off and rebooting computers per remote

Yes, I use this and it is great. It's greatest asset, is that I can send an annoying text message to all workstations interrupting their game! Most enjoyable!
There are many of these watchdog systems and the really good ones allow you to upload to all workstations and lock the screen so they have to do the task. As I posted to Visunee, the biggest drawback is a power outage and then we all sit there like puppets that have had their strings cut. The sensible thing to do would be to have hard copy backups! Yes...that would be the sensible thing to do...for sensible people.
I think that this is a great idea! This would then help to ensure that students are doing what they are suppose to be doing and not playing games. When you use this is it something that the students are aware of right away, or they only become aware once they get caught? I was just curious because it would be interesting to see how many students are playing games or talking online in the beginning and then once the word gets out that the teachers are monitoring them, how many students stop playing on the computer during class.
The teacher's experience is that the student's keep forgetting that you can see what they are doing until they get a message on their screen. Also there are other software where you can take over their computer and shut things down.

I like Watchdog system as a name because that is what it is really. Also you can support students with their work.
