YouTube probably has the most videos of all video sharing sites.

Children love to produce videos, and teaching them the skills to make good videos teaches them important skills.

I think we have to be careful, not about the video but making sure that the video links to a real classroom task that can be marked and assessed. Apart from that condition, I think Youtube would be great for the kids to use for themselves and I would have no problem in receiving homework in the form of a video, especially speaking and listening.
I agree with Steven, we must make sure that YouTube is used appropriately. I notice students use YouTube inappropriately, and can be a bigger distraction to students.
Technology have two sides depend on the way to use it. I like Youtube, using it to show good videos in class. It can help students understand content easier. For example,animals lesson, we don't have to take them to the zoo.
Youtube is a valuable resource for teachers. However, it can be worst if students use it in the bad way such as watching an inappropiate clip.
